Braxton County couple arrested on child abuse charges

GLENVILLE, W.Va. –A couple has been arrested for alleged child abuse following an investigation in Braxton County.

Beraique Taylor, 21, and Joshua Taylor, 21, both of Glenville have been charged with child neglect creating risk of bodily injury or death and conspiracy to commit a felony.

According to a release from state police, in January, an 11-month-old child was removed from the Taylor residence. The couple allegedly failed to provide proper nutrition and care. The removal of the child prompted an investigation into the alleged neglect and malnourishment of the child.

They were officially arrested on February 28.

Both are being held at the Central Regional Jail.

An investigation remains ongoing.
