Victim identified in weekend Parkersburg shooting

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. –Police in Parkersburg released the name Monday of a man who was shot and killed Saturday morning.

Austin Lamb, 28, of Parkersburg died after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at a residence in the 1000 block of 40th Street around 12:10 a.m. Saturday. Police and EMS crews did attempt life-saving measures, but Lamb died at the scene.

Parkersburg Police have charged Claudia Torres, 19, of Clarksburg with first-degree murder. She was arrested Saturday morning about a mile from the residence.

Torres is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

She is expected back in court on March 10 for a preliminary hearing.
