Princeton fire claims life

PRINCETON, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a deadly fire that occurred Friday morning in Princeton.

Firefighters responded to a call of a house fire at a residence on Hope Lane just off of state Route 20 west of Princeton at around 11:45 a.m.

A body was recovered from damaged house.

Further information hasn’t been released.

Several fire crews from Mercer County were on the scene.
