Ohio man waives extradition in Huntington double murder case

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. –An Ohio man accused of killing two Huntington men and injuring another last week appeared in Stark County, Ohio Magistrate Court Friday, where he waived extradition back to West Virginia.

Kevante White, 27, of Akron, Ohio will be brought back to Cabell County to face two counts of first-degree murder and malicious wounding.

White is accused of Adrian Phillips, 26, and Derious Johnson, 39, both of Huntington in a parking lot in the 300 block of 14th Street around 2:30 a.m. February 20. White is also accused of shooting another individual.

Phillips worked for the City of Huntington and Johnson was a middle school basketball coach at St. Joseph Catholic School. It was confirmed the pair were brothers.
