Four admit to meth, Fentanyl trafficking in Northern Panhandle

WHEELING, W.Va. –Four people entered guilty pleas Thursday in connection to drug trafficking in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.

According to a release from U.S. Attorney Matthew Harvey, all four defendants admitted to trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The release said that Steven Anthony Blatt, 63, and Jeanetta Nicole Sigler, 50, both of Paden City, pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Blatt and Sigler had worked together to sell the methamphetamine in Wetzel and Tyler Counties. They were arrested following a trip to Morgantown to pick up drugs, when they were pulled over by police. Police seized 427 grams of methamphetamine from their vehicle.

D’Angelo Jones, 20, of Wheeling had admitted to possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl in Ohio County. Investigators searched his residence on Wheeling Island and seized 20 grams of heroin and fentanyl, along with a firearm and $1,200.

Roland N. Copney, 37, also of Wheeling, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Copney was arrested as part of a gunshots fired investigation. When police searched his residence, they seized more than 200 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of fentanyl, and ammunition.
