UPDATE 8:30 a.m. Wednesday\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong> The National Weather Service allowed its earlier flood warning to expire at 8:30 a.m. and extended the warning<\/a> for Wood, Wirt, Jackson, Mason and Pleasants counties until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

CHARLESTON, W.Va. <\/strong>— A flood warning remains in effect for the U.S. Route 50 Corridor from Parkersburg to Clarksburg until 8:30 this morning.<\/p>\n

The flood warning covers Wood, Wirt, Ritchie, Doddridge, Harrison, Pleasants, Lewis, Roane, Gilmer, Calhoun and Braxton counties.<\/p>\n

The National Weather Service says the South Fork Hughes River in Ritchie County is flooding this morning near MacFarlan.<\/p>\n

The weather service has approximately 12 other counties under a flood watch into this afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
